it is a known fact that google is still the top search engine out there. everyone uses it. and with bing, it's just rather high because people use it to open google.

but as we all know, they're junk. selling your usage data, showing you ads, algorithms that tell you what to read instead of the other way around.

an alternative is in need, which there are. we have duckduckgo, startpage, searx, whoogle, and plenty more.

unfortunately if you set these as default on a browser, people are still just going to use them to look for google.
