you cannot believe how many times i failed in trying to move from whatsapp.

the thing with moving chat platforms is: anyone you talk to needs to be willing to switch.

and everyone i know - and i mean everyone - has never wanted to move. at all. so i can't get rid of whatsapp.

signal, telegram, no luck. not even xmpp, where you don't even need to have a phone number to sign up (at least on the server i use).

my only way of getting everyone off whatsapp is either cut ties with whatsapp or to wait for whatsapp to die. the first would be ideal, but when i did, nobody talked to me at all. the latter would be impossible (unless whatsapp belonged to google).

what if i storm mark zuckerberg's house and tell him to kill whatsapp?
