as we approach the new year of 2024, i'm sure we're all stopping to reflect on the past year. maybe not. i am though.

obviously the fun bit was when the two most important social media platforms (ie. Reddit and Twitter) pretty much fell off. Reddit screwed their API, screwed a considerable part of their community; and Twitter died. we have X now though ;~; welp fedi is growing nicely so that's cool.

i feel 2023 has been a more social year for me. last year i was more of a hermit, didn't talk to — or wanted to talk to — a lot of people. this year, i've been to Indonesia's most prestigious university (i mean if it literally has the country's name in its own name it must be pretty hip, no?), became a presenter on an internet radio station (owner has been missing for ages though), changed instances and made new friends on the fediverse, i got a job (i'll write about that at some point), and wrote quite a number of posts on this blog too.

so mate i say that was a pretty nice year :3 (sorry fedi habits)
